This week Adobe released an online cookbook for Flex application development tips. The website explains:

- Find solutions to your Flex-related problems.
- Publish solutions you have created for the greater Flex community.
- Comment on solutions created by others.
- Opt for a chance to have your solution published by O'Reilly.

The popular Just AS3 and XML (JAM) will be moving their examples into the Flex Cookbook as well. The creation of this site is interesting on two levels. First Adobe is officially sponsoring the creation of a repository of code examples. Other upcoming languages and development environments should consider a similar strategy. There also seems to be a defined path for taking the snippets available online and bundling them into an O'Reilly compilation in the future.
