Four years on we caught up with Eric Barroca, CEO at Nuxeo, to find out how that conversion went, and to explore their new technology stack and position in the ECM industry.
Nuxeo, the open source enterprise content management company, announced that it will contribute their Nuxeo Core Java content repository technology to the Eclipse Foundation. Although already open-source under the LGPL, the move to Eclipse will see it relicensed to EPL.
Nuxeo has announced that the next version of its ECM product will be based entirely on Java, using JBoss SEAM, EJB 3, and JBoss. The move is interesting for a company claiming to be "the biggest Zope-focused company in the world." InfoQ spoke to Nuxeo's engineering team to find the why and how of their move.
