A Learning Community for SOA

Submitted by Thomas G. Business Analysts

SOA is entering the next phase in its maturity: Primetime. Enterprises that adopted SOA early are showing first results, and the competition is accelerating, catching up to do the same. However, an enterprise cannot be educated, only the people who make up the enterprise can be educated. The enterprise consists of many different people with different job roles and various education levels, especially in regards to IT-related topics like SOA.

A recent article in VNU discusses how different enterprise staffers have greatly varying knowledge levels about SOA. This diversity needs tobe taken into account - the education needed by a Business Analyst is different than the education required by an IT-architect. And C-level audiences are different altogether. And if you look at the diversity of SOA vendors the SOA education gets only more complex. The CentraSite Community addresses this issue and is categorizing its content into different blog-threads that are organized by job role. See soaworks.com and learn, observe and study. And if you are interesting in contributing, let us know. This is a learning community, and one of the best ways to participate is to teach.
