Java rss

Java is one of the most popular programming languages used today, particularly for enterprise web applications, with a reported 9 million developers. Java was originally developed by James Gosling at Sun Microsystems, and now a combination of Oracle, the Java Community Process (JCP) and the Eclipse Foundation are responsible for the evolution of the platform.

The launch of Java 9 introduced modularity into the the Java SE platform, and this is increasingly being exploited by library and application developers. Combined with the rise in popularity of "microservice" style application frameworks -- such as Spring Boot and Eclipse Microprofile -- there appears to be continued business and community investment into the Java development ecosystem.
