Interview: Zed Shaw on Mongrel and Ruby in the Enterprise

A new video interview with Zed Shaw gives a look at Zed's project Mongrel (a fast HTTP server/library) and ideas on how to make money with Ruby in the enterprise. The interview also includes Zed's recent ventures into languages such as Lua and Smalltalk. Another language, Factor, is mentioned as a good source for inspiration about improving Ruby's irb.

Besides Mongrel, Zed is the creator of  Utu. This led to two other projects: iHate, a client for Utu, and  Profligacy, a JRuby based library for creating Swing apps (InfoQ showed some of Profligacy's features, especially its solution to GUI layouts).
