Summary

Microservices architecture can be complex to configure. It's easy to have a single stack that makes everything work. But what if you have a polyglot environment? How can all of the stack address the same concerns in a consistent way? This is where a service mesh comes in. Ray Tsang introduces Istio, an open source service mesh framework created by Google, IBM, and Lyft, showing how it works.

Nicely delivered. With a visual impairment I was actually able to see a magnification of source code and UI; I was truly appreciative.

I thought it was important to comment on Ray’s delivery of subject matter. I enjoyed his presentation; it was one of the most informative presentations I viewed in terms of substance. He provided a lot of information in concise terms.
He actually answered questions I had; while filling in the gaps. And, although due to the traffic, conversations, and noise in Coffee Bean I was unable to hear his presentation in its entirety, but from what I did hear, he actually answered questions about simplifying the microservice processes with the Istio service mesh that I had pondered for months. I think his delivery approach is worthy of recognition, and I thought I would take this opportunity to say to Mr. Tsang thank you!
