Bio
Jon Jagger is a self employed software consultant specializing in practice, process, TDD, and adaptive systems. He has worked with Accenture, Aviva, Cisco, Ericsson, Friends Provident, HP, Microsoft, Operator, Ordnance Survey, RBS, Reuters, Renault F1, Schlumberger, Tandberg and many others. In my opinion and experience, pair programming is well suited for coding the very few and hard/difficult/specialized components of a system, those with a complex business rule or delicate concurrency algorithm. However using it in every day to day development of table maintainers, report generation, UI adjustments, ... or any other well known and somewhat "easy" task is a waste of resources.
