Bio

Holden Karau is an active open source contributor. She is a co-author of “Learning Spark” and “High Performance Spark”. When not in San Francisco working as a software development engineer at IBM’s Spark Technology Center, Holden talks internationally on Spark and holds office hours at coffee shops at home and abroad. She is a Spark committer and makes frequent contributions to Spark.

Entering its 12th year, the Emerging Technologies Conference has brought the leaders of the open source community to Philadelphia to teach about their projects, their work and how these technologies are changing software development. During this time, ETE has become one of the largest gatherings of developers in the mid-Atlantic.
