Summary

Anil Madhavapeddy describes how to design and build "deploy-and-forget" cloud services that are specialized into unikernels: compact, single-address space virtual machines built in a high-level language that are largely immune to conventional buffer overflow attacks due to their type-safety down to the device drivers.

Bio

Anil Madhavapeddy is a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Cambridge, based in the Systems Research Group. He is co-chair of the Commercial Uses of Functional Programming workshop, and an author of the O'Reilly Real World OCaml book.
