Project Mu aims to make it easier for developers to quickly create and frequently update the firmware of their devices, enabling Project Mu devices to adopt a Firmware as a Service (FaaS) evolution model. Project Mu contains the same code leveraged in several of products, including the Microsoft Surface and Hyper-V, Microsoft says.

Microsoft Releases More Azure Stack Details, Available September
At the recent Microsoft Inspire partner conference, Microsoft announced Azure Stack is now available for order and will ship as soon as September. Azure Stack is a private cloud implementation of Microsoft’s public Azure cloud. Unlike other private cloud providers, Microsoft is offering Azure Stack as a consumption-based service, similar to its public cloud counterpart.

Microsoft and Docker Preview Windows Server Containers
It is now possible to run Windows-specific software inside containers. Windows Server 2016 Technical Preview 3 is the first Windows release to support this technology. Windows Server Containers offer very similar capabilities to Linux containers, but in the context of the Windows ecosystem. Docker also released its own technical preview that showcases how it's able to manage Windows containers.
