Eclipse Awards winners announced
Yesterday at EclipseCon, the Eclipse Foundation announced the Eclipse Award winners for their contributions in the community, as well as open-source and closed-source projects. The winners were:
- Eike Stepper, top committer
- Lars Vogel, top contributor
- Walter Harley, top newcomer evangelist
- E4, most open project
- Xtext, most innovative new feature
- Bredex GUIDancer, best commercial developer tool
- Groovy-Eclipse, best open-source developer tool
- SpringSource DM Server, best EclipseRT application
- Tasktop Pro, best RCP application
Two of the winners were SpringSource sponsored projects; and as previously noted the dm Server is moving over to Eclipse and being renamed Virgo, which should be released later this Summer.
Tasktop continues to go from strength to strength as the commercial offering on top of the Mylyn technology.
