ActiveBPEL 3.0 Milestone 2 (M2) has been released. M2 provides full support for the WS-BPEL 2.0 specification as well as continued support for the BPEL4WS 1.1 specification. Active Endpoints has also released a Beta version of the ActiveBPEL Designer.

This BPEL engine runs in the context of the Tomcat 5.x.x. server and is written in Java. It has been released as GPL. The activeBPEL organization supports the product with traditional open source community means, while its parent organization, Active Endpoints, Inc. supplies commercial licenses as well as professional support and integration services.

Interested users can download the product, the development environment beta and can even take advantage of a hosted BPEL validation tool.
