Microsoft has posted for download the first Community Technology Preview of the new Expression Web Designer. At least, that's what this article started out saying. Prior to publishing it I decided to download the CTP and have a quick peek inside.
Once I downloaded the 200 + MB file I ran setup and was told just after the license agreement that the setup had failed. No reason was given for the failure. Apparently I am not the only one to experience the problem as the download link now simply states that we should try back tomorrow as they are experiencing "technical difficulties".
I was under the impression that the setup program was pretty much a solved problem. Perhaps I was mistaken. I'll keep a watch on it and let you know when they have overcome the "difficulty".
