Adobe developer Mike Potter has announced the release of an Adobe Ruby on Rails SDK focused on allowing developers to create 'Rich Internet Applications' using Ruby on Rails and Adobe's Flash technologies. Google's Developer Network has the direct code available for download. There are four samples in the SDK: an issue tracker, file transfer demo, a data transfer demo, and a 'directory' explorer. Derek Wischusen of the Flex on Rails blog has some more info.

This news comes at a time when interest in Ruby on Rails coupled with Flex is high. We recently covered WebORB, a new Rails plugin that ties together Rails models and Adobe Flex, and a new PDF-book, Flexible Rails, has just been released with 214 pages of information about developing applications with Rails and Flex.
