.NET Framework 3.0 June CTP is out
As announced a few weeks ago, Microsoft combined the components of WinFX under a new brand name: .NET Framework 3.0. The .NET Framework 2.0 will be included as a part of the .NET Framework 3.0, along with several other new technologies. Confused yet?
The components of the .NET Framework 3.0 are as follows:
The June CTP is now available for download. This is an update since the Beta 2 release, and is intended for use with Windows Vista build 5456. Tim Sneath outlines some of the breaking API changes for WPF. Note that there is no Go-Live license available for this release.
Microsoft has also provided some free hands-on labs to help you get started with Windows Workflow Foundation, which Microsoft is trying to abbreviate as "WF" rather than the wrestling-connoted "WWF":
