Lori MacVittie has written an excellent introductory article to SOA governance, including an overview of relevant standards and the different kinds of product offerings. Topics covered include the role of UDDI and ebXML, different design time and runtime needs, products/vendors such as Sun, Flashline, LogicLibrary, Infravio, Fujitsu-Software AG CentraSite. MacVittie also discusses what are, in her view, the four primary SOA governance functions: validation, cataloging, relationship management and collaborative process/policy enforcement.
