Yahoo! Launches Ruby Developer Center
Yahoo! has launched a Ruby Developer Center, an initial step towards more official support for the Ruby language at Yahoo! The initial content includes how to use Yahoo!'s Web Services with REST calls made from Ruby, how to cache API calls, how to parse XML results, and how to parse JSON results. It's early days, but it's encouraging that a major Internet company is paying lip-service to Ruby.
A group for Yahoo! related Ruby developers called ydn-ruby has also been created with a focus on questions and discussion surrounding using Ruby alongside Yahoo's APIs, feeds, and Web services.
