Bjarne Stroustrup designed and implemented C++. He authored 5 books including The C++ Programming Language, The Design and Evolution of C++ and Programming - Principles and Practice using C++. Stroustrup has published more than 100 academic and more popular papers. He took an active role in the creation of the ANSI/ISO standard for C++ and works on the maintenance and revision of that standard.
