Phillip Mortimer is a Senior Staff Machine Learning Engineer at Carta, where he focuses on document intelligence. Previously, he served as CTO and Chief Scientist at Accelex, building on a decade of experience as a quantitative developer at Morgan Stanley in London and Tokyo. Beyond shipping code, Phillip shapes the next generation of engineers as a visiting lecturer in MLOps and LLMOps at Université Paris Dauphine-PSL. In his downtime, he is often found in the dojo training for his next kick-boxing belt.
