Both Red Hat and Microsoft will join forces to design and engineer a Red Hat OpenShift on Azure, which will be available as a public preview in the coming months.

Amazon Launches AWS Secrets Manager to Securely Store, Distribute, and Rotate Credentials
Amazon announced the launch of the AWS Secrets Manager, which makes it easy for customers to store and retrieve secrets using an API or the AWS Command Line Interface (CLI). Furthermore, customers can rotate their credentials with built-in or custom Lambda functions. The AWS Secrets Manager enables users to centralize the management of secrets of distributed services and applications.

Microsoft Announces a Public Preview of the MongoDB Aggregation Feature in Azure Cosmos DB
Last November Microsoft announced more capabilities for the support of MongoDB in Azure Cosmos DB. With the deployment of the latest version of the Cosmos DB service, Microsoft included a preview of MongoDB aggregation pipeline support, enabling developers to create more sophisticated queries and manipulate data by combining multiple aggregation ‘stages.’

Ocado Technology Releases “Kubermesh”, a Prototype Self-Provisioning Mesh Network Kubernetes Cluster
The Ocado Technology team has created Kubermesh, a prototype “bare-metal, self-hosted, self-healing, self-provisioning, partial-mesh network Kubernetes cluster”. Kubermesh can essentially be seen as the glue joining several technologies together to form a container deployment platform consisting of an OSPF3 partial-mesh network and a iPXE-booted self-installing Kubernetes deployment.

Amazon Adds Cross Region and Encrypted Replication Support for Aurora
In a recent blog post, Amazon announced updates to its MySQL-compatible Database Engine, Aurora. In this update, Amazon is including support for cross region snapshot copy, cross region replication for encrypted databases, cross account encrypted snapshot sharing, adding a region where Aurora can be provisioned and a new instance size called T2.Small.

Azure Logic Apps Reaches General Availability
