Agile Measurement - A Missing Practice?
Tom Gilb and Lindsey Brodie have written an article that suggests that Agile methods have a major weakness - that of lack of quantification. They argue that all qualities can be expressed quantitatively and present a new process, PLanguage, which looks very much like Scrum with an explicit measurement step. Are they right? Are Agile methods such as Scrum and XP in need of explicit measurement?

XWiki 1.0: Extensible Java-based wiki/application platform
XWiki is an open source wiki and an application platform written in Java and released under LGPL license. Its development platform features allow creating collaborative web applications and also provide packaged applications built on top of the platform (second generation wiki). XWiki 1.0 launched last month, but there have been almost 10,000 deployments to date.

Innov8: BPM/SOA video game simulator in the works at IBM
IBM has been working on Innov8, a 3D video game SOA/BPM simulator. At the moment only a demo and screen shots are available, and the game is set to be available in September. The game aims to teach an introductory level understanding of BPM enabled by SOA, including the typical steps of a BPM project and real world experiences of IBM's expert BPM practitioners.
