Kasper Lund is a software engineer at Google working on the design and implementation of programming languages. He has more than 10 years of industrial experience in designing virtual machines and runtime systems and his primary areas of interests and expertise are efficient interpretation, dynamic compilation, and adaptive optimizations. Kasper is Member of the GOTO Aarhus Program Advisory Board.

is there a Dart / ActionScript comparison ? by Dominique De Vito

At first glance, Dart sits between JavaScript and Java.
But there was already a language sitting the middle, another language with optional typing too, and oriented for simplified web devleopment too: ActionScript!

So, often, when I think about Dart, I just wonder how far Dart is from ActionScript. At first sight, Dart looks like the Google's own ActionScript language.

if you like actionscript try haxe : you can compile down to java C# , C++ , javascript , flash ,android , ios , winphone7 , php , neko , etc ..
