Corey Haines focuses his presentation on two elements of the craftsmanship manifesto: well-crafted software and a community of professionals. He believes that craftsmanship means forming quality software developers who choose their own practices and use them, starting as apprentices, becoming journeymen, and ending coding katas.
Bio
Corey Haines, after working with MS technologies for more than 10 years and joining a small startup doing Ruby on Rails, started a one year journey through the Midwest and East on a pair-programming tour, focusing on defining and expanding the message of the Software Craftsmanship movement. He is actively engaged in practicing XP, BDD and TDD, and collecting idea for a craftsmanship-based school.

First a big thank you! You've succeeded in expressing all of the things I've been thinking about for months now. Unfortunately I don't know how to express them as clear as you just did.
This is the first talk that resonated so much with me that I ended up taking notes.

I agree, they are accessible to everyone, but they don't know where to look. They need a manual for it. Guys like you need to write the manual for them ;) Thats the difference between an expert and a novice ( I'm quoting Seth Godin here :P ).

Have you read Chad Fowler's "The Passionate Programmer" yet? He does a great job capturing a lot of these ideas; I would very much recommend it.
