The Guardian's Content Web API
Recorded at:

by Phil Wills on Feb 29, 2012 |

Phil Wills discusses why The Guardian has introduced the Content Web API, how it has influenced the architecture of the site and how they develop software and collaborate with partners.

Phil Wills is a software architect for Guardian News and Media. He doesn't believe it's possible to do this well without regularly writing code. Phil has been heavily involved in many of the Guardian's digital products including a major rebuild of the infrastructure behind, the integration of its print and web production systems and the Open Platform Content API.

GOTO Aarhus is the enterprise software development conference designed for team leads, architects, and project management and is organized by developers, for developers. As software developers and architects ourselves, we wanted to craft the ultimate conference. The result is a high quality conference experience where a tremendous amount of attention and investment has gone into having the best content on the most important topics presented by the leaders in our community, staged in an intimate environment needed to support as much learning and networking as possible.
