He is currently involved with the CS Department at the University of Illinois and the leader of UIUC Patterns/Software Architecture Group. He is mostly interested in OOP, especially frameworks, patterns, business objects, and Smalltalk, and researches refactoring, being involved in creating the Smalltalk Refactoring Browser.
