Sam Newman is a technical consultant at ThoughtWorks, where he has been for over 10 years. He has worked with a variety of companies in multiple domains in the UK, Australia and the US. Zhamak Dehghani works with ThoughtWorks as a principal consultant, currently focusing on system architecture for continuous delivery. Zhamak has worked as a software engineer and architect for 15 years.

    Let's remember what was the problem SOA was trying to solve. One of such problems would be a service bottleneck. You will end up with a few services that have 100 more call volume than others. Any attempt to optimize performance of the whole system will make it into a big ball of ... services connections.
