Frank Mantek discusses the Google Data API (GData) including decisions to use REST rather than SOAP technology, how the API is used, numerous examples of how GData has been used by clients, and future plans for evolving the API. Frank Mantek joined Google in 2005 to work on the Google Data API. Previously, at Microsoft, he worked on SQLXML, Internet Explorer, and other Microsoft technologies. When he is not working he enjoyes playing the Djembe really loud.
