Bio
Adrian Cockcroft, Andrea Stubbe, Fred George, James Lewis, Oliver Wegner, Stefan Tilkov (moderator).
About the conference
Micro Services are a new paradigm for software architecture: small services in separated processes take the place of large applications. This way monolithic architecture can be avoided, and systems are easily scalable and changeable. The microXchg conference looks at a variety of aspects of Micro Services.

I think we have to be bold and objectively define the optimum size of a service. No point evading the question. Frankly "Fitting one person's head" does not quite cut it. People who are doing it need some guidance and that is why you hear people asking "what about a hashing algorithm?" although I think that was Martin Thompson and already knew the answer.
I have given it a go and tried to define it here with the picture as this.
