Dean Wampler is a Big Data Architect at Typesafe, specialized in Scala, Big Data technologies, FP and Agile practices. He authored or co-authored "Functional Programming for Java Developers", "Programming Scala" (with Alex Payne), and "Programming Hive" (with Ed Capriolo and Jason Rutherglen).
