IBM Adds Support for XPath 2.0, XSLT 2.0 and XQuery 1.0 to WebSphere 7
IBM have released a feature pack which adds support for Xpath 2.0, XSLT 2.0 and XQuery 1.0 making WebSphere Application Server 7 the first application server with complete support for this most recent set of W3C XML standards. InfoQ talks IBM's Andrew Spyker, Chief Architect for the feature pack.

Bundle.update: OSGi in Java EE, JSR 294 Marked Inactive
Since the last bundle.update, a number of interesting events have occurred in the OSGi and modular Java space. JSR 294 has been (automatically) marked as inactive, the Enterprise Expert Group has released draft 4, WebSphere will allow direct running of OSGi applications and upcoming OSGi conferences have early bird discounts and call for speakers finishing soon.

IBM Announces the WebSphere CloudBurst Appliance
BM recently announced its WebSphere CloudBurst Appliance a device that facilitates the creation, deployment, and administration of private WebSphere cloud environments. The appliance offers virtual image from which complete WebSphere Application Server topologies can be constructed to create patterns as representations of fully functional WebSphere Application Server environments.

New Options for .NET-Java Web Services Interoperability
