DB2 and Visual Studio

Last week we talked about Oracle's support for Visual Studio. Well they are not the only ones who see the need to integrate with VS. IBM's DB2 for .NET offers both ADO.NET drivers and Add-ins for Visual Studio.

DB2 for .NET supports both Visual Studio 2003 and 2005, the latter being a separate download. The add-in includes Intellisense for DB2 scripts and the ability to create and manage DB2 projects from within Visual Studio.

Unfortunately, the documentation for DB2 for .NET is incredibly light. Unlike Oracle's Developer Tools for Visual Studio .NET, IBM is not really talking a whole lot about the offering.
