Microsoft has released a February update of the Azure Services Training Kit. The training kit is based on a hands-on lab at PDC '08 and includes resources providing background information and training examples of developing software on the Azure Services Platform.
The February release includes the following training resources:
- 19 demo scripts that walkthrough several of the services
- 10 presentations covering the entire Azure Services Platform
- 3 additional hands-on labs for Live Services
Some of the labs require an Azure Services developer account. An invitation code can requested from the main Azure site. While waiting for the invitation request to be processed there are several downloads and training resources worth reviewing:
- Windows Azure Software Development Kit (January 2009 CTP)
- Windows Azure Tools for Microsoft Visual Studio January 2009 CTP
- Getting Started with the Windows Azure SDK
- .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 (required)
- Main blog for MS Cloud Computing Tools Team
- Excellent introduction to Azure by Justin Etheredge (C# MVP)
