A beta of Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Tools for the 2007 Microsoft Office System has been released. This add-in for Visual Studio allows developers to extend these Office 2007 applications:
- Excel
- InfoPath
- Outlook
- PowerPoint
- Visio
- Word
This is not a complete solution. While it does offer several new VS project types for features such as task panes and the new Ribbon user interface, it doesn't offer the project types found in Visual Studio 2005 Tools for Office (VSTO). If you already have Visual Studio 2005 Professional or VSTO, you can download the beta of Visual Studio Tools for Office 2005 Second Edition.
