Up and Running with Progressive Web Apps

Nik Molnar presents the fundamentals of Progressive Web Apps, and how to turn a standard web app into something that's installable, works offline and engages users via push notifications.

Nik Molnar is Program Manager at Microsoft where he specializes in web development, web performance and web API's. He is a frequent speaker at international conferences and on technical podcasts. In his spare time, Nik can be found cooking up a storm in the kitchen, hanging with his family and working on open source projects.

About the conference

We are developers that love to grow community, and we love the midwest. So it only makes sense that we would work to grow a developer community here.

  • Video player behind industry... again

    by Richard Richter,

I experience more and more problems with your video player. In Firefox it very often reports network error on random, and after a longer pause it's a sure bet. On my home computer it shows that overlay even when started afresh, with video behind it. Chrome is OK, as it refuses to use Flash altogether, but player there does not pause on space, no keyboard control (fw/rew), only tiny icon play/pause in the corner.
Please, make your video experience up-to-date again. (I still remember when InfoQ videos were not able to stream from the middle. ;-))
