A General Distribution Release of .NET 4 was published on the 11th of June. This includes numerous fixes and features, many of which were previously published as individual hot fixes. Tasktop 2.0 Supports Task Federation and Cross-Repository Agile Planning
The latest version of Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) collaboration tool Tasktop supports task federation, cross-repository Agile planning, and new connectors to other ALM tools like HP Agile Accelerator and SmartBear CodeCollaborator. Tasktop team last week released version 2.0 of the software which also has integration with Hudson CI tool.

The Much Needed Service Pack for VS 2010 is Almost Ready
Visual Studio 2010’s first service pack is nearing completion. According to Brian Harry, the betas for .NET 4 SP1, VS 2010 SP1, and TFS 2010 SP1 together represent between 800 and 1,000 bug fixes. Also included is a new help system and improved support for Silverlight, x64, and .NET 3.5.

DB2 Debugging in Visual Studio 2010
IBM is offering a demo of their DB2 Add-ins for Visual Studio 2010. In addition to "full end to end debugging for SQL procedures for VB and C# apps”, it includes ADO.NET and Entity Framework providers for many of the DB2 variants.

Amethyst is a fully-featured Visual Studio IDE for the Adobe Flash Platform. It supports the drag-and-drop design, editing and debugging of Flex and AIR applications and it can also load Flash IDE projects for editing and debugging.

IDE Support for IronPython and IronRuby
Two of the top three IDEs for .NET are now supporting dynamic programming languages. While SharpDevelop 3.2 continues to enhance its support both IronPython and IronRuby, Microsoft is entering the game with IronPython Tools for Visual Studio and SapphireSteel is still offering Ruby in Steel.

Major UI Upgrade for Visual Studio 2010
Visual Studio has received a major UI upgrade via the add-in Visual Studio 2010 Pro Power Tools. In addition to finally fixing the Add References dialog, the major change is what they are calling “Document Well 2010 Plus”. This significantly alters the way tabs are handled in the document pane.
