If you have been tracking the hype-cycle, you would have noticed SOA entering the "Trough of Disillusionment" on 2005 and slowing climbing into the "Slope of Enlightenment" and almost reaching the "Plateau of Productivity" on 2009.
But, surprisingly SOA is gone missing from 2010 hype-cycle.
Even in the "Priority Matrix for Emerging Technology - 2009", Gartner had shown SOA to be of "transformational" importance but it has gone missing from the 2010 Matrix.
