Bio

Tim Williams has worked as a software developer in the finance industry for over 10 years, more recently specializing in functional programming languages. He is currently a Haskell developer in the Quantitative Analytics Equity Derivatives Group at Barclays. He holds a D. Phil in Physics from the University of Bristol.

About the conference

Code Mesh London is an annual conference dedicated to non-mainstream languages and technologies. In 2013 it featured over 50 talks from experts in languages, libraries, operating systems and technologies that handle the programming and business challenges of today. Languages discussed include Haskell, Clojure, Erlang, Elixir, Rust, Go and Julia.

    I am sorry to say that this guy lost me after 10 mins and after even 5 mins more of humble patience I stopped and only ff-ed through the rest.
    Much too verbose bulletpoint slides right from the beginning (shall I read or shall I listen?), no fluent speech (so better read?), more than 5 mins talk about what he will talk about.
    What a pity for what could have been an interesting story to tell.
