Granite Data Services: Open Source Flex DS Alternative
Granite Data Services (GDS) is an open source alternative to Adobe’s LiveCycle Data Services and the recently open sourced Blaze Data Services. Last week, GDS reached production status with their 1.0 release. GDS is available under the LGPL license. New SQL Server Data Type: HierarchyId
Tree-like hierarchies has always a problem in relational databases. Microsoft's first attempt at addressing this was in SQL Server 2005 with the implementation of Common Table Expressions.
