Sam Gluckenheimer opened the Agile 2014 conference with a talk titled "The Journey to Cloud Cadence" in which he discussed the transformationt at Microsoft Developer Division from a waterfallian box product delivery cycle of four years to Agile practices enabling a hybrid SaaS and on-prem business, triweekly delivery of new features in the service, and quarterly delivery for on-premise customers.

Agile Open Event a Resounding Success in Florianopolis, Brazil
The Agile Alliance sponsored an Agile Open event in Florianopolis, Brazil on the 25th of January. The event attracted over 100 participants from all over Brazil and as far away as Canada. The event put on by the Agile Alliance as part of the focus the Alliance has of engaging with and supporting local agile communities around the world.

Only two weeks remain for potential speakers to submit their proposals for the Agile 2013 conference. So far over 200 submissions have been received, with many more expected before the close of submissions at the end of January.

Agile Tour Circling All Corners Of The World
Agile Tour is a yearly non-profit conference series that is hosted in a variety of cities worldwide throughout the months of October to December with the aim of connecting the Agile community. Agile 2012 Keynote: Bob Sutton on Scaling Up Excellence
The introductory keynote at Agile 2012 in Dallas entitled Scaling Up Excellence was delivered by Bob Sutton, Professor of Management Science and Engineering at Stanford University and author of numerous business books including "Good Boss, Bad Boss" and "The No Asshole Rule".
